The best 4 winter foods.

Winter is coming. As days go by, Weather is getting colder. Sometimes when I  was walking the street, I could see vendors who sell many winter foods. So now let me introduce some winter foods.

1. Boong-uh Bbang.

First food is Boonh-uh Bbang. It looks like a fish. And it is bread that has mashed adjuki beans in their belly.

Is is hot and delicious when it is hot. the surface is crispy, but the inside is very soft. Nowadays not only adjuki beans but also custard brean and pizza sauce are used.

Second food is Ho-Dduck. It is my favorite winter food. It is made by putting mixed sugar, cruched peanut, and cinnamon in the flour dough. It is very glutinous and sweet. But, sometimes the sauce in the flour dough is too hot to eat. We can scald our mouth with the hot sweet sauce.

3. Ho-Bbang

Ho-bbang is one of the popular winter foods. In rice dough or flour dough, there is full of mashed adjuki beans. Nowadays pizza Ho-Bbang, curry Ho-Bbang and so on also appeared. It is very delicious too.

In cold winter day, It warms us up.

Next Thursday, November 18th, Korean SAT test is held. My friend and my junior in school also have this test. So, I decided to cheer them.

First, I bought chocolates. In Korean, it is manners that giving a chocolate, taffy, sticky rice cake to candidates for an examination. I have three firends and one junior who have the test. So I bought 4 chocolates and I also prepared letters. One of my friends, Sung Min live in Gang-nam. So I went and saw him with my high school friends last Thrusday. We gave him chocolate and letters and chicken. And we promised to meet after test. And one of my firneds and my junior live No-won and In-Cheon. I have no time because of classes and homeworks. And It was too far from my home. So I sent chocolate and letter by parcel post. And today they got the parcel, and called to me.
Finally, one of my friend live in next to my home. He is also my high school friend. He and me was in same class when we were third grade student. So I met him at afternoon and ate lunch with my other classmate.
We talk and laugh and my classmate and me  gave hime chocolate and letter.
I hope all my friends to have a test well. I want them to get good grade in test.

My father's birthday.

Last Saturday, November 6th was my father's birthday! It was first birthday after I entered university. Although now I didn't have any part time job, I saved money in summer vacation through the part time job.

I concerned about my father's birthday present very seriously. Finally, I bought a cardigon in the department store two weeks ago. I was very proud of myself because it was first time that I bought father's present with my own money.

But I had a problem. Noverber 6th was also my chemistry test. Worse, the test time was afternoon. I was so desperated. In the end I went to bus terminal after the test, 5:00 PM.
But unfortuantely, I had an another problem. All seat was sold out. Going to busterminal took about 30minutes. So I thought I can buy the 5:40 bus ticket. But the ticket wasn't.

So.. I bought 6:30 PM bus ticket. It was that I can arrive at my home fastly. Eventually, I can't eat dinner with my family. But I met my family and I gave my present to my dad. He loved my present and I was also happy! begining the day was problematic but the and of the day was proud and nice!

Let's go out!

After long mid-term exam, I went two places with my friends. Me and Yun-Ji (Jung), So-jung, Ye-song went Everland and next day, me and Jin-sol, Yun-ji(Lee), Myung-hyun went N Seoul tower.

1. Going to Everland.

After my last exam on Thursday, me and my friends went Everland.

We have promised to go Everland, but we failed over and over because of study, homework and many schedules. But this time, we decide to go Everland without fail. After my exam, we all had time. So we went there! Personally, I felt lighthearted because I went there after 12years absence. Some had already changed, others hadn't changed a bit. We rode many rides. There were many thrilling rides. In Everland, Halloween Party and Horrible party was also being held.(It is held until Oct 31th.) There were so many pumkins all around the road and staffs dressed up as ghosts.

 

 

2. Going to N Seoul tower.

Next day, after the physics class, we went to Nam Mt. In Nam Mt., there are N Seoul tower.

We bought Kmi-bab and chocolate and lemonade and went to there by bus. We all felt light-hearted

we got off down the Nam Mt.. And we climb the mountain. It wasn't too hard clinbling the mountain.

There were so many people, because that day an event that observe the stars were held in Nam Mt.

And  there were also many couples. ~.~ Nam Mt. is famous for course that couples go out.

There were also many locks that couples locked. I also wanted to hang the lock. hahahah

(But I'm solo.) The night watch in Nam Mt. was great. Me and my friends exclaimed again and agian.

It was very good day.

 

 



Let's Make a deep-fried sweet potato

Today, after my first mid-term exam (physics exam), I went my home in Dae-jeon.

In two weeks, I met my mom and my sister. And I had dinner with them in my home.

We made deep-fried sweet potato. It was great.

So now let me introduce how to make deep-fried sweet potato.

First, we have to prepare ingredients.

The ingredients are sweat potato, oil, eggs, flour.

Now let's make a deep-fried sweat potato.

1. Cut the sweet potato.

First. cut the sweet potato. But. Don't cut it into thin slices.

If you cut it thinly, you can't enjoy crispy sweet potato.

2. Make chickenfry

                                         

Crack the eggs and separate the yolk from the white of an egg.

Dissolve the yolk in the bowl, and mix it with flour.

If you don't have eggs, you just dissolve flour in the water.

3. Dip the sweat potato in batter. 

After mixing, put cut sweat potato in the bowl. And dip it in the batter.

4. fry it!

Pour the oil in the cook-pot and heat it.

When the temperature is 160℃ put the sweat potato in the pot.

And fry it until it's color is light brown.

 5. enjoy!

Let's go traditional market !

The day before yesterday, me and my friend went traditional market in Je-gi dong and Chung-ryang ri.
The market is very very big and consist of Chinese herb medicine market, old Kyung-dong market and new market.


               
Atmosphere was very quiet and rural. And there were very unique medicines. Most impressive medicine was centipede. It was very crawly but, it is used to make medicine! I couldn't believe. Many stores were located closely.

Next to the medicine market, there are Kyung-dong market.
    
There was so crowded. There was everything in the market: vegetables, fruits, snacks, soy sources, and so on. It was also big and was felt as if the end of the market didn't exist.


                                              
In underground the market, there are many restaurants. Me and my friend chose handmade knife-cut noddle and Bi-bim rice. The anount was very abundant, and the ingredients were all unartificial. The taste was also fantastic!

We went the Duck-Soo Palace.!

Last Tuesday (5th Oct.) me and Youn-ji and Jin-sol went to the Duck-soo palace.

We went there to see an art gallery. That day, exhibition was opening in Duck-soo palace.

The building in this picture is the art gellery. It was big and was like the Parthenon .

Theme of the exhibition was the art of Asia. There were so many pictures from many Asia countries : Philippine, Korea, India, Indonesia, singapore ... Each picture had their unique character.

Out of the art gellery, there are many old palace. We also looked around and took a picture.

And in Duck-soo palace, many events are held periodically. We also saw many event and took pictures with  staffs. There were also many foriegners. We talked with them a little .. ^^

"Green Pasta"

Today, let me introduce a good italian restaurant near our university!

The name of the restaurant is " Green Pasta". It is located the right fork that is near to Nam-Young subway station. Take the right fork and go straight more, then you can see the a signboard. There is in second floor.

The main menu of this restaurant is pasta and pane pasta.

 this is pane pasta. It is my favorite menu. Whenever I go there with my friend, we always order this pane pasta. It has very cute shape. It has a lid that is also part of the pane. we first open  the pane, and eat the noodles. After we eat noodles, we eat the pane with pasta sause. It's taste very good and It fills our stomach very well.

This is normal pasta. It is very cheaper than other restaurant's pasta. And It's taste also good! I like "Pink Pasta" , one of the menu , most. Sause of "Pink Pasta" is made of cream pasta sause and tomato pasta sause. So it's taste is little special!

The restaurent is little cheap in comparison with other italian restaurent. And tasty and quality also good! I recommend this restaurent. If you have a time and want to eat some italian food, go there once : )

Let's make Song-Pyun!

This wednesday was Thank's Giving Day! I went my grandmother's house and I ate Song-pyun. It was very delicious! When I was young, I also made Song-pyun with my grandmother and my mother.

Now let me introduce making Song-pyun : )

Ingredients :

nonglutinous rice flour, water, sesame oil,  boiled sweet potato, boiled red beans, fried sesame, sugar

How to make :

1. Make dough

First, boil the water. Afeter boiling, mix boiled water and nonglutinous rice flour.

Knead rice flour until the dough is soft.

2. Prepare the filing for making Song-pyun.

First, prepare empty big bowl.

Put boiled sweet potato, boiled red beans, fried sesame, and sugar in the bowl.

Then, mix them evenly.

3. Make Song-pyun

Take a little piece of dough, and make it like a small ball.

Then, hollow out a groove and put filing in the dough properly.

 Fold the edge of dough, and seal it.

4. Make ripe it!

Put the completed Song-pyuns in the steamer, and steam them.

When they are ripe, take it out and grease each ripen Song-pyun.

unless we grease them, they all stick together.

5. Enjoy it : )

Let's make boiled down chestnuts !

Last week I went my home in Choong-Ju. When I went my home, I saw so many chestmusts. Chestnut is one of my favorite foods. My family and I always make special dish with chestnuts.

Now let me introduce it.

The name of dishe is "밤조림"(boiled down chestmuts). It is made to boil down chestnuts.

First, peel chestnuts and wash it once. The reason that we wash chestnuts is to clear peeled chestnuts from its fur. Chestnuts have many furs. Next, put peeled chestmuts in a cookpot. Stuff water until chestmuts are soaked. And boil it. When chestnuts boil, boil it about ten minutes. After 10 minutes, put salt sugar or oligosaccharide in the pot. Boil it ten minutes again, and you can enjoy delicious boiled down chestmuts.! :)

Let me introduce my lovely pets :)

I like animals very much! Especially I love dogs so much. I have had pets since I was eleven years old.

My first pets was mixed dog. but they were very cut and smart.

But we were seperated, because I had to move my house. I was so sad, especially I didn't take picture with them. I regret about it very much. So next time, when I got my new pet I took pictures very much.

Now I have a three pets. Two dogs are female, and one dog is male. They are very lovely, and cute.

Now Let me introduce them more specificly.

Her name is Ah-Ji. She is famale and Her kind is schnauzer. She is my favorite pet, because she live with me the longest time. I met her when I was twelve years old. Her age was 2 years old at that time. Now she is almost 10 years old. She is very small and charming. She always take to me and I also love my dog.

But now I live in Seoul, so I met her once a week or more weeks. I didn't meet her for three weeks. I missed her very much ..ㅠㅠ

The name of this dog is Zzang. He is female and his kind is mongrel.(haha) But he is very smart. I met him first about three months ago. He seems always happy and active. He runs very fast. Whenever I catch him, he always run away. Although he didn't live with my family long time, my family and I love him.

She is the baby of my family. Her name is Poong and She is poonsan dog, a kind of Korea dog. I met her about one month ago. She was born about three month ago. She is very very yong. But her size is bigger than Ah-ji, however her face always tell me she is baby puppy. As you see in the picture, she is always vacant face. It is very funny and cute. She gots all of  my family's love and attention.

Whenever I go back to my home, I expect to meet my family and my dog. I love them very much, and I want to be with them for long long time. ♡
